Autumn Leaves

If you had a toddler between 2008 and 2010, you may have been familiar with the character, Moose A. Moose, who was the 'facilitator/tutor' on the Nick Jr. channel.

He introduced the shows, and took the toddlers through exercises highlighting shapes, colors, letters, etc.  The other thing he talked about was the seasons, and what makes them unique.  I confess I learned a thing or two from the Moose myself 😉.

According to Sir Moose, in the Fall, the lack of adequate sunlight is what causes the leaves on trees to take on those shades of red, and gold, and brown - the beautiful colors that we like to see, and that people sometimes travel distances to enjoy.

I had heard his spiel on Fall, and why he loved the season, several times, but this one time it really caught my attention.  Now I assumed that this was a simplified version of the explanation.  However, as I thought about how something as 'negative' as insufficient sunlight could result in such beauty, GOD brought to my attention the fact that, in the same way, HE uses those negative, not-so-bright periods in our lives, to bring beauty, into our lives, our character, our witness, and our faith.

Wow!!!

This brings to mind James Chapter 1 verses 2 to 4,

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV, biblegateway.com).

So, be encouraged; no matter how negative things look, GOD knows what HE is doing.  HE's in control, and HE's got You 😊.

Be Blessed 🙏,

AAA
