Unspoken Prayers

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am not a morning person. Not Even A Little Bit. Thus, early morning duties can be rough (are rough). Throw on not feeling well, and the morning in question was pure misery.

As I was struggling through the morning, the Hubs called to see how we were coming along - he leaves really early for work - opposites attract and all that.😊 I mumbled that I was okay, and that we were getting ready. I really wasn't okay, but knew I needed to woman-up and take care of business. When the call ended, I remembered feeling even more miserable because I was hoping he would have offered to come and take over (yes, mindreading expected 😉), but I didn't want to ask because I knew it would be disruptive for his work.

About 10 minutes later, I heard his car come in, and could not believe it. It turns out he picked up on the misery in my voice and came to help. Yay, for the Hubs! 😍 To say that I was happy and relieved, does not even...

What was even more amazing was that I had not even had the faith to ask GOD for help. However, my Abba Father knew, and HE answered my unspoken prayer.

Afterwards, as I marveled at how it had all played out, I was reminded of what GOD says,

"I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!"
(Isaiah 65:24, New Living Translation).

This scripture has meant a lot to me since the first time I read/heard it. Because there are days when even the act of calling out to GOD can be a challenge. However, I have seen HIM keep true to HIS word over and over again, and that morning was another wonderful example.

The story also brings to mind the words of the chorus of one of my favorite songs:

He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call

by Tommy Walker

So, what is it that your heart desires that you cannot find the words to describe or ask? What is it that is weighing on you, so heavily, that you struggle to even pray about?

Know that GOD wants to help You; HE wants you to bring your burdens, needs, fears... all of it, to HIM, no matter how haltingly.

Be assured that even as you struggle to articulate what you need to HIM, HE already knows, and HE's Got You!

May You be Blessed Extraordinarily this year, and may GOD answer all your spoken and unspoken prayers. In JESUS' name. Amen.

Don't forget to smile, because GOD loves You! HE really does. 😊

Be Blessed! 🙏
